Kid Wind Challenge Nationals 2017

The Lanier MS “SPINNERS” team won 2nd place at the Kid Wind Challenge Nationals 2017 wind turbine competition held at the Convention Center, Anaheim, CA. They competed with 32 other Regional winners from all over the country. They earlier had won first place at the Regional competition at GMU, Fairfax, VA to qualify for the Nationals.

Solar Model House Contest

Lanier Middle School students building a solar model house. This was a school wide competition, where students had to go through multiple steps: Drawing, Material & R-Value Research, Insulation & Aesthetics Test, and presentation.

Environmental Showcase at GMU – April 2015

Lanier students participated at George Mason University for the environmental showcase. Contests attended at the event were: Caring for Our Watershed (2nd place winner), Kid Wind Challenge (1st place winner & best blade award), recycle material mascot, and the environmental showcase.
